Open Tuesday through Friday 8am – 5pm
Bonnington Blossoms is owned and operated by Kathy Sager, a certified Early Childhood Educator and mother of two.
It is important that all children are valued as unique individuals. At the centre, children are nurtured and encouraged to blossom into their full selves. Having a small group of children in a home-based setting allows for the well-being and full expression of each child.
The centre is currently in the final stages of being licensed through Interior Health as a multi-age centre. A multi-age centre allows for children of all ages to attend the program together. This means that siblings can be together in the same program, helping to create a family-like environment where children feel safe, comfortable and at home.
Each day includes gently guided activities for the children to participate in. These will include, but are not limited to: live music and movement, stories and puppet shows, arts and crafts, sourdough baking, age appropriate yoga (connecting with our bodies) and gardening. Each of these activities offers wonderful learning opportunities for the children. Children can go as deeply into each activity as they wish.
Free play is a fundamental part of the Bonnington Blossoms Child Care program. Children play throughout each day, both inside and outside in the ¼ acre, fenced yard. By enabling young children to have ample access to the natural world, they are given the opportunity to learn through observing and interacting with nature in every season.
Bonnington Blossoms provides a morning snack for all of the children, consisting of whole foods (this means the food is as minimally processed as possible, and free of additives). All food and baking supplies provided by the centre are organic and prepared in the most nourishing way possible, to aid in healthy growth patterns in the bodies and minds of your little ones.
